Groth Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 6LThe 2003 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon continues our pursuit of excellence from the Oakville AVA. This outstanding vintage shows the ultimate character that we expect from our estate vineyards. With full, rich aromas and flavors redolent of ripe stone fruit and dark berries, the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon is a lush wine with a subtle tannin backbone that will allow the wine to become more complex with proper bottle age.
Ramey Jericho Canyon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2005At some 1250 cases, this is our smallest blend yet, a function of the decline of the Cabernet Franc and Merlot portions of the vineyard. That is also the reason that the blend became, in 2004, a Cabernet Sauvignon, which it remains for 2005 at 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc and 3% Merlot.
Cakebread Cabernet SauvignonThe grapes for our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon come from a selection of our estate ranches and superior family-owned vineyards located throughout the valley's finest cabernet sauvignon appellations. Long-term relationships with our growers ensure an annual supply of top-quality fruit from diverse sites. This allows us to craft a stylistically consistent and complex cabernet marrying the lush black fruit and sturdy tannins typical of the valley's warmer northern districts with the bright fruit and acidity characteristic of its cooler southern climates. Each year, our winemaking team ferments dozens of different small lots of cabernet, assessing each one in order to select the very best lots for this classic Napa Valley red.
Ramey Pedregal Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2009The 2009 vintage produced wonderful wines, both red and white, as the vintage came close to ideal. There were steady, moderate temperatures throughout the growing season and no desiccating heat spikes. Our sixth vintage from this small, outstanding vineyard on the lower slopes of the eastern Oakville hills. "Pedregal" means a rocky place in Spanish, and that is certainly a distinguishing feature of the site. During 2008 we agreed to a long-term lease of this vineyard which gives us complete control even through any change in ownership, so this is the second vintage we've directed farming ourselves (we converted to organic).
Paul Hobbs CrossBarn ChardonnayGlistening straw yellow with a faint green hue and fragrant aromas of white flower, Asian pear, and wet stone underpin the wine's expression of its true Sonoma Coast roots. Alluring stone fruit flavors carry the palate along with hints of citrus and honeysuckle that evolve into a creamy mid-palate before ending in a long, clean finish with crisp acidity.
Paul Hobbs Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2012Deep violet in color, this lush yet stately pinot noir seduces with aromas of black raspberry, violets, sassafras, clove and cocoa butter. Paul Hobbs Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon 2012Sourced from favored rows within the acclaimed C2 block of Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, this elegant wine exudes class and refinement. It is dark violet in hue with aromas of blueberry, lavender, balsa, wet stone, vanilla and biscotti. Velvety tannins give this wine a luxurious mouthfeel that is punctuated by bright elegant flavors of boysenberry pie, mocha, pipe tobacco, salted caramel, and shale. A refined finish of black fruit, tar and wet earth persist for more than a minute long. We recommend decanting this wine in its youth.
Alpha Omega Era 2013Color: Deep, dark black cherry with hints of ruby on the rim. On the nose: Raspberries, blueberries, cassis and blackberries with touches of soap, violet and milk chocolate evolving on thyme, cedar and licorice. On the palate: Round, velvety entrance evolving on structured but granular tannins with hints of black cherry, plum and blueberry jam lingering on rose, wisteria, elderberries and huckleberries.
Shafer Relentless 2014The first pour offers an endlessly rich density of meaty, smoky, black fruit aromas while the wine saturates the mouth with deep flavors of black licorice, bramble fruit, black pepper, allspice, bacon, and char. All of this opulence is energized with underlying acidity and bound together with structured, ripe tannins built for very long term ageability."

Dark crimson in color, the nose is perfumed with luxuriant aromas of red currant, boysenberry, cedar box, and Herbes de Provence. The intensely layered palate excites with flavors of cassis, graphite, blueberries, and sage, woven seamlessly together with savory, velvety tannins. The finish is long and pure, a perfect harmony of richness and elegance.

Paul Hobbs CrossBarn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015An exuberant garnet, this 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon expresses the complexity and diversity of the Napa Valley vineyard sites from which it is sourced. Vivid aromas of ripe blackberry, red currant, cacao and cigar box harmonize with flavors of freshly crushed wild berry, allspice, and sweet tobacco. Layers of red and black cherry emerge alongside marked minerality, framed by fine grain tannins evolving throughout a long, energetic finish.
Paul Hobbs Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon 2015The legendary vineyard situated on the Oakville bench is farmed by both row and vine so we can endow the fullest expression of the site. Presenting an appearance of opaque purple color, enormous complexity and layered aromatics open with black raspberry, anise, and intonations of cigar leaf and savory tar. Wild blackberry and currant present a focused palate highlighted by mocha and dried thyme. The full-bodied texture and balanced acidity are surrounded by opulent and voluptuous tannins from start to finish making this a readily approachable wine that pleases the palate. Consider complementing with duck confit cassoulet, steak frites with béarnaise, or spicy mussel cioppino.
Ramey Claret 2016Our Claret follows the Bordelaise model of blending different Bordeaux varietals. Malolactic fermentation is completed in barrel, and the blend is assembled early so it is "elevated" as the finished wine.
Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Caymus has a signature style that is dark in color, with rich fruit and ripe, velvety tannins as approachable in youth as in maturity. We farm Cabernet grapes in eight of Napa's 16 sub-appellations, with diversification enabling us to make the best possible wine in a given year. Our Cabernet offers layered, lush aromas and flavors, including cocoa, cassis and ripe dark berries.
Nickel & Nickel Sullenger Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014The 2014 John C. Sullenger Cabernet Sauvignon shows flavorful expressions of bright fruits, savory herbs and toasty oak. Seductive aromas of plum, olive and earth entice the taster and carry through to the palate, alongside flavors of black cherry, tobacco and sage. Balanced acidity and spicy oak complement the dark, rich fruits while round, supple tannins build the midpalate. Approachable now, this wine will continue to develop over the next 10 years.
Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2015Caymus Special Selection is the flagship wine of the Wagner family and is comprised of the very best barrels of the vintage. This wine is not produced in difficult years. Caymus Vineyards produces two Cabernets Sauvignons - a "Napa Valley" and the venerable "Special Selection". Both Cabernet bottlings have aromas and flavors which can only be achieved through "hang time" - a technique which chances the loss of crop if early winter sets in. Leaving the fruit to "hang" on the vine unusually long develops suppleness, increases color, and matures the tannins of the grapes. The wines are abundant in textural tannins yet soft as velvet. Crop thinning, allowing measured sunlight to reach the vine's fruit zone, and waiting for increased ripeness are all part of our viticultural practices. Caymus Cabernets offer a wide array of aromas and flavors including cocoa, cassis and vanilla.
