Chateau Rauzan-Segla Margaux 2008
|Region||France, Bordeaux, Margaux|
92-94 Barrel sample. Firmly balanced, showing the tannins first and then ushering in the ripe black, juicy fruits, this is a fine wine, potentially delicious, worth aging.
A touch soft, but persistent, with pretty floral, mulled plum and tobacco notes that glide over light, rounded tannins. The pure finish lets the fruit hang elegantly. This wins on balance rather than depth. Drink now through 2014.
