From the old vines of Ritchie Vineyard, we produce a chardonnay of great power, intense flavor and seamless integration. The 2007 offering opens with aromas of white peach, honeysuckle and shortbread. The bold, yeasty, tropical, palate is brimming with assertive flavors of banana, nectarine and lemon meringue that wrap themselves around a steely backbone. A sublime interplay of fruit and well-integrated French oak leads to a finish offering great length, along with notes of nutmeg and cedar.

($70) Light gold. A sexy, complex bouquet displays scents of Anjou pear, quince paste, Thai basil and iodine, with a suave overlay of white flowers. Rich citrus and orchard fruit flavors stain the palate, braced by zesty mineral and lemon zest qualities. Offers a deft blend of richness and energy, with outstanding finishing clarity and punch.

Complex aromatics of ripe fig, melon, guava and spicy, toasty oak are rich and layered on the palate, ending with a long, persistent finish, where the flavors fan out. Drink now through 2013.
