S.C. Pannell Shiraz Grenache 2005
|Region||Australia, South Australia, McLaren Vale|
80% Shiraz from 45-year old vines and 20% Grenache from 70 year old vines aged for 14 months in 20% new French oak. The grapes were harvested and crushed together as the co-fermentation of Shiraz and Grenache results in a better integration and complexity of the individual varietal characteristics.
Supple and graceful, with blueberry, white pepper and cream flavors that glide smoothly over fine-grained tannins and linger well on the open-textured finish. Drink now through 2013. 1,000 cases made.
